About the Impact Fund

Please note these calls are still open but funds are nearly fully allocated.

The Impact Fund is funding from Research England (HEIF) and is worth 拢29k. The fund is designed to support activities that will help you to:

  • achieve, enhance and accelerate the impact of your 澳门资料, including supporting knowledge exchange activities
  • evidence the impact of your 澳门资料, including through formal evaluation
  • provide training and development opportunities in knowledge exchange and impact

The aim of this fund is to ensure that the impact on society and the economy from our excellent 澳门资料 is optimised and robustly evidenced.

Funding streams

There are three funding streams available. The rapid response and flexi-fund call facilitates 澳门资料ers to quickly respond to opportunities to enhance the impact of their 澳门资料. The training bursary enables 澳门资料ers to build their knowledge and skills in impact and activities to achieve impact including knowledge exchange.

Rapid Response

Open until June 2024 or fully allocated.

This fund and assessment process has been developed to enable us to respond to your requests for funds in a timely way so that you can take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

This call is for applications of up to 拢1000, with a total budget of 拢9000.

These applications will be assessed for funding by the Research Impact Team within 7 working days of submission.

Flexi-Fund

Open until June 2024 or fully allocated.

This fund aims to help promote activities which will achieve, accelerate and/or evidence the impact of our University 澳门资料. The types of activities might include knowledge exchange/mobilisation, knowledge brokering, co-production, implementation, evaluation, evidence synthesis, engagement and communication (this list is not exhaustive).

Each flexi-fund application has a maximum budget of 拢3k and the total budget is 拢9000 to be spent by 31 July 2024.

Training Bursary

Open until June 2024 or fully allocated.

This fund has been developed to enable 澳门资料ers to undertake training in a wide range of topics to help them to achieve and enhance the impact of their 澳门资料. These topics will be dependent on the 澳门资料ers needs but could include 澳门资料 impact, knowledge exchange, monitoring and evaluation, regulation, intellectual property, communication, presentation skills, social media, infographics etc.

The total budget is now 拢6k. All courses must be booked and completed by 31 July 2024.
